Why am I a Secondary user after signing in with Apple ID?
Understand how “Sign in with Apple” and private relay emails affect your Primary/Secondary user status in the tepeo app.
This article explains:
- What happens when you use Sign in with Apple
- Why this can make you a Secondary user
- How to find the Apple relay email linked to tepeo
If you used Sign in with Apple and see yourself as a Secondary user, it may be because Apple is using a special private relay email address instead of the email you expect.
Apple’s Private Email Relay (part of "Sign in with Apple") is designed to be a buffer between you and third-party developers.
How Apple’s private relay works
When you use Sign in with Apple:
-
Apple creates a unique email like something@privaterelay.appleid.com for each app or website.
-
This email forwards messages to your real email address.
-
This helps stop companies from tracking you across different apps and services.
If you delete a “Hide My Email” address and later sign in again to the same app, Apple will often:
-
Create a new private relay address instead of reusing the old one.
This means you can end up with multiple Apple relay emails linked to tepeo over time.
How to find which Apple relay email tepeo is using
