Frost Protection
Frost Protection is an automatic charging mode that activates when the ZEB’s core temperature drops below 20°C. It ensures the system maintains a safe minimum temperature and helps protect your system during colder conditions.
When this happens, your ZEB will do a minimal charge to raise it above 25°C so it has enough heat available if your thermostat calls for heat, helping prevent the heating system from freezing.
Please note: By default, your ZEB is set to Frost Protection Enabled.
Customising Frost Protection
Frost Protection can be customised in version 12.6 of the tepeo App under ZEB settings. You can choose to:
- Leave Frost Protection enabled all year round (recommended).
- Turn Frost Protection off during warmer months when the risk of freezing is very low.
Please Note: Disabling Frost Protection puts your home at risk of damage from frozen pipes.
