What electrical connections are required?
- Power must be supplied via a suitably rated double pole isolator (normally 63Amp), taken directly from the consumer unit and protected by a 50A circuit breaker with RCD protection. The supply cable to the appliance shall be a minimum of 10mm², installed in accordance with current wiring regulations.
- A separate 3A fused spur (unswitched) from the heating circuit to the wiring centre to supply the heating system controls (to obtain a common neutral). This may also be used to provide a direct supply to an external circulation pump where required, enabling ZEB-controlled pump overrun functionality.
- A heating thermostat demand signal is required and may be provided either as a 230V switched live or as a volt-free contact, depending on the existing system controls or controls being installed along with the ZEB.
All relevant information can be found in the ZEB Installation Manual.
