Is it normal to have a burning smell come off my ZEB?

When the ZEB is first installed there may be residual binders in the insulation, which may be released on the first few cycles, which might produce a smell. The binders are biodegradable and safe. The ZEB may emit a smell after any work is performed during a service visit, which will dissipate after several charge/discharge cycles. The temperature of the ZEB’s heat storage core is closely monitored and includes fail-safes to prevent over-charging.
