# How much CO2 will I save with a low carbon heating boiler?

## A ZEB can save up to 2  tonnes CO₂/year for a typical home

An independent climate impact assessment found that a home with an annual heating demand of 12,000kWh could save up to 2 tonnes of CO2 equivalent per year by 2030 by switching from a gas boiler to a ZEB.

You can estimate your own potential carbon savings by switching to a ZEB using our **[cost and carbon calculator](https://www.tepeo.com/costandcarbon/)**.
