How do I add a Secondary (View Only) User?
Secondary Users have view‑only access to all parts of the tepeo App. They can see information about your ZEB, but they cannot make any changes.

Primary users
The first person to connect a tepeo ZEB to their account is automatically set as the Primary user.
As a Primary user you:
- Have the highest level of control for that ZEB.
- Can change key settings in the app, including:
- ZEB charging style
- Away Mode
- Can be signed in on multiple devices at the same time.
Secondary users
Once a Primary user has connected to a ZEB, any additional users who connect to the same ZEB are automatically set as Secondary users.
- There’s no limit to how many Secondary users a ZEB can have.
- Secondary users have view‑only access to all areas of the tepeo app such as;
- Status
- Insights
- Tariff
- Secondary users cannot change any of these settings
Read‑only features for Secondary Users
For Secondary Users, the following features are read‑only:
- Charging settings

- Boost charging via the app
- Tariff settings
- Away Mode
- Flow temperature controls
- Network settings

How to add a Secondary (View Only) User
Once a Primary User has connected to the ZEB, any subsequent users who connect to the same ZEB will automatically become Secondary Users.

Download the tepeo app and create an account
- The Secondary user needs to install the tepeo app on their phone or tablet.
- Open the app and create their own tepeo account.

Make sure you are near the ZEB and Comms Box

Go to the same room as the ZEB and the Comms Box before starting the connection.

Start the connection in the tepeo app

Open the tepeo app.

Select ‘Connect Device’.

Enable Bluetooth on the phone and press ‘Next Step’.

On Android devices, also enable location permissions when prompted in the app.

Put the Comms Box into connection mode

Press the ‘Connect’ button on the Comms Box for approximately 1 second.

The ‘Connection’ LED will start flashing.

Let the phone or tablet find and connect to the ZEB

The phone or tablet will search for and connect to the ZEB.

If this step fails:

Check that Bluetooth is turned on.

Check that the Comms Box ‘Connection’ LED is still flashing.

There is no limit to the number of Secondary Users a ZEB can have.
