Home Automation Integration Overview

tepeo’s latest firmware update means your ZEB Heat Battery Boiler now supports popular home automation platforms—so you can monitor and control your heating in new, flexible ways.

Supported Platforms:

  • OpenEnergyMonitor – Track and manage home energy usage
  • Home Assistant – Control many smart devices (including ZEB) from one interface
  • Other MQTT-compatible home automation systems

How to Get Set Up

Currently, setting up Home Assistant integration cannot be done directly through the tepeo app—you’ll need to contact our team to enable this feature for your ZEB.

To get started, please email customer.service@tepeo.com with the following information:

  1. IP address of your Home Assistant installation (e.g. 192.168.1.100)
  2. Username for your Mosquitto account
  3. Password for your Mosquitto account
  4. Port used by your Home Assistant installation (“1883” is the default)
  5. The discovery prefix of your MQTT client (“homeassistant” is the default)

After you send us this information, we’ll set everything up for you and confirm when your ZEB is ready to use with Home Assistant.
