When setting up ‘Custom Charging’, you will need to choose when and how much the ZEB should charge. This will depend on your personal heating needs and should be carefully considered.
It might be best to start by utilising the cheapest period of your tariff to charge the ZEB to the maximum (100%). If you find the ZEB does not meet your heat demand later in the day, then consider introducing additional charging to top up the ZEB when it is low on charge. The thermal insulation of the ZEB is very good, but not perfect, so we recommend setting your charging close to the times you know you will need heating, to minimise any standing losses.
